These are all areas of concern that often lead to surgery when all other treatments fail. Spinal Decompression Therapy with the DRX9000 has a high success rate for pain associated with herniated or bulging discs, even after failed surgery. It is a non-surgical, computerized therapy for the relief of back and leg pain. During this procedure, by cycling through computerized distraction and relaxation phases and by proper positioning, a spinal disc can be isolated and placed under negative pressure, causing a vacuum effect within it. Because of the negative pressure, disc material that has protruded or herniated can be pulled back within normal confines of the disc, and permit healing to occur.

What makes the DRX9000 so effective?

Our spinal decompression computer is the key. It controls the variations in the weight pulled allowing for spinal decompression and eliminating muscle guarding that is typical in conventional decompression devices. The pre-programmed patterns for ramping up and down the amount of axial distraction allows for higher levels of spinal decompression and disc re-hydration.

Is the DRX9000 painful?

In almost all cases, the treatments are completely painless. Some patients even find themselves falling asleep during their spinal decompression session.

How much does it cost?

Because every situation is unique, it is impossible to give you an estimate without first seeing you and evaluating your specific condition. Dr. Johnston will talk with you first about how your condition affects your daily activities, and about any x-rays and/or MRI’s you have had of your low back. He will take considerate time to properly review any medical concerns and make sure the DRX9000 is right for you. Once it is determined that the DRX9000 is the appropriate therapeutic treatment for your condition, you will be scheduled for a follow-up consultation to go over the estimated cost with you and provide options for payment, including financial plans and Care Credit, which can allow deferred interest in most cases for 6 months or more.
